I have been the Pastor here at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church since 2014. It is a church with a “Big Heart” that deeply loves God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is a church of which I am very proud. It is remarkable how its members and attendees work harmoniously together for the betterment of humanity locally and elsewhere. I cordially invite you to join us and put your unique capabilities to work serving the Lord.
My childhood was spent in Braddock, PA, a large town outside of Pittsburgh. My faith journey, started as a youth, in the Roman Catholic tradition (as did most in my hometown, considering our 13 Roman Catholic Churches). I had the desire to serve God, my Father, from early in life, and planned to become a priest. St. Vincent’s College was my choice for undergraduate classes. It was there that I met a friend who later became my wife! This lessened my chances of becoming a Roman Catholic priest. After working in various fields, I felt the call to the United Methodist Church. My graduate work was done at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a Presbyterian institution 5 miles outside downtown Pittsburgh. I have now served 25 years as a Pastor at various locations throughout Western PA. Currently I serve the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Friedens PA.
