Habitat for Humanity
Mission Statement: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. A world where everyone has a decent place to live. Demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.
“Our church“, once a month, provides a free lunch to the local volunteers and college students assisting in the construction of a residence by the Habitat for Humanity organization.”
Somerset Towers
Our Congregation provides Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Dinners for the residents Of Somerset Towers. We also provide the tables, decorations and amenities needed to make the meal and community socializing a relaxing and enjoyable event. On Christmas, our coral group and Tower residents sing Christmas Carols together … fun for the young and old alike!
Prison Ministry
Mission Statement: The mission of Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. is to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ into prisons and correctional facilities throughout the United States. ————“I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matt. 25:36 NIV)-
Meals on Wheels
Mission Statement: An America in which all seniors live nourished lives with independence and dignity. To empower local community programs to improve the health and quality of life of the seniors they serve so that no one is left hungry or isolated.
Gideons
Mission Statement: We ignite and fuel a passion in people’s hearts to share the gospel — training and equipping them, as a community of believers, to effectively introduce people to Jesus through God’s Word.
Somerset Children’s Aid Home
Mission Statement: Provide a continuum of Care Giving Services to the children (Our Heroes), and their families, who have overcome great adversity in their lives.
Child Evangelical Fellowship
Mission Statement: The purpose of CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP is to reach boys and girls with the gospel by promoting and conducting home Bible classes (called Good News Clubs) for children.
Young Life Somerset
Mission Statement: “ Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith”.
Ramps Are US
Ramps R Us of Somerset County builds handicap ramps for individuals who need assistance getting in and out of their home but cannot afford to have a ramp built. Numerous members of Bethany United Methodist Church as well as other local churches provide the labor to build the ramps.
Red Cross Service
Mission Statement: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Salvation Army
Mission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Next Step Center
Mission Statement: To provide a temporary home for Somerset County families and individuals, enabling them to work towards a resolution of issues that might have led to homelessness. We do this by referrals to other county agencies for potential assistance and in house counseling. Our policy is to offer a helping hand not a hand-out.
Camp Allegheny
Mission Statement: Ignite and sustain a passionate spiritual connection with JESUS in a beautiful Christian Allegheny Mountain setting. Excellent facilities, Christian hospitality, and supervised Disciple-Making Programs are provided.
Birthright of Somerset
Mission Statement: Offer Support and Resources for anyone during her journey pregnancy. Services are always free, confidential and available to any woman regardless of age, race, circumstances, religion, marital status or financial situation.
Bethany Christian Services
Mission Statement: We demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by protecting children, empowering youth, and strengthening families through quality social services

Mission Statement: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Listie Volunteer Fire Dept.
Mission Statement: The Listie Volunteer Fire Company, located in Listie, PA, provides fire protection and emergency response services to the Listie community. The Fire Department’s mission is to prevent the loss of life and property. In addition to responding to fires, the Listie Volunteer Fire Company also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials.
